Monica Förster (born in 1966) is educated at Beckmans Design College and Konstfack in Stockholm and is well known for her multidisciplinary work, where she combines industrial, furniture, and product design with design strategy. Her work always seeks the answer to the question: ”Why?”.

Today she runs her own studio Monica Förster Design Studio, in Stockholm and collaborates in the role of creative advisor with several designer brands.

Monica Förster has won the Interior Design Magazine Best of Year Awards and the Good Design Award in the USA, the Best Domestic Design Wallpaper* Design Awards in the UK, and a number of other international awards. In Sweden, she is the only designer who has been awarded "Designer of the Year" five times.

The collection Reed is Monica Förster’s first collaboration with Orrefors.
