Ebon

The multi-disciplinary architecture and design trio Claesson Koivisto Rune questioned: why instruct a glassblower to make each item identical, even if the design is clearly defined? The Ebon vase from Orrefors shows that glass is a soft, glowing mass whose mobility slowly lessens as the temperature falls. Each vase has been allowed to set into its own shape and is therefore deeply individual, within a strict framework. The collection, launched in 2020, is mouth-blown in Sweden.
