Nobel

Gunnar Cyrén is one of the great designers of Swedish glass history. In 1991, he created the Nobel set, which is still used at the annual Nobel Banquet in Stockholm City Hall. It is a prestigious event where invited award winners from different countries in the world celebrate with over 1,000 guests, including members of the Swedish royal family, politicians, scientists, and artists. The collection is mouth-blown in Sweden and hand-painted with details in real 21 karat gold, and includes wine glasses, beer glasses, champagne glasses, a pitcher, and a carafe. The entire Nobel set is now a highly coveted collector’s item, both in Sweden and internationally.
